Test Lead/Manager

Are you passionate about building up a top-notch test team in a startup environment? We are looking for a technical test lead or manager to build and lead our test/QA team.

You will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on expanding Microsoft’s global product development in Europe, and will be responsible for hiring and leading the team and building out infrastructure and processes.

We are seeking a proven leader with a great track record of attracting and mentoring talent and delivering software releases on time and to a high quality bar.

You must excel at working in an international collaborative environment, be able to juggle multiple deliverables and dependencies, have strong technical and development skills, and be excited about producing high-impact results.

We use AJAX, Web 2.0 technologies, and SilverLight, along with C++, C#, and ASP.NET. We follow agile methodologies and stay abreast of all technology trends. We do cutting-edge development for adCenter (Microsoft’s online advertising platform), the mobile platform for Windows Live services, edge computing, experimentation, and other key business initiatives for Microsoft.

This position is part of our Global Product Development - Europe team, based in Dublin, Ireland, and works closely with Microsoft teams in the US and around the world. Key requirements:

At least 5 years of experience managing a test team (at least 1 year for the test lead position)
Proficiency in test architecture, design, and implementation
Proven ability to hire and retain a strong and healthy team
Demonstrated ability to ship high-quality software on time
Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects at once
At least 4 years experience developing code in C# and/or C++
Strong English-language verbal and written communication skills
Ability to negotiate with other teams and partners, including vendors
BS CS degree or equivalent (MS/PhD would be a plus)
Experience with agile development methodologies would be a plus
